  • There is this strange smell of ozone today in downtown san diego. It smells like ozone..or maybe brake pads. Very odd. #
  • This must be the cause of the funky smell in downton: http://tinyurl.com/ynu2s9 #
  • Man, it really stinks like chemicals or brake pads downtown. This can’t be healthy. Tara and Ashby aren’t going for their run outside. #

That is too funny. Be sure to watch the look on the orchestra’s faces. Don’t they look confused? It’s like they’re trying to figure out if these guys are serious. Of course, it’s this scene from Arrested Development that makes this so damn funny.

Hello kitty

Hello Kitty turns attention to young men – Yahoo News
The cute cuddly white cat from Japans Sanrio Co., usually seen on toys and jewelry for girls and young women, will soon don T-shirts, bags, watches and other products targeting young men, company spokesman Kazuo Tohmatsu said Friday.

“We think Hello Kitty is accepted by young men as a design statement in fashion,” he said.

The feline for-men products will go on sale in Japan next month, and will be sold soon in the U.S. and other Asian nations, according to Sanrio.

The usual bubble-headed shape of Hello Kitty was slightly changed for a more rugged, cool look to appeal to men in their teens and early 20s.

For example, a picture of the cat on a $36 black T-shirt has the words, “hello kitty,” instead of the usual dots for the eyes and nose.

Hello Kitty

In a surprise turn of events Hello Kitty went on a killing rampage in downtown San Diego during the 17th annual San Diego Balloon Parade. Hello Kitty, later determined to be high on angel dust, stomped to death 16 parade onlookers and injured dozens more before being lassoed and restrained by authorities.

Kwwwhaaatt…oh, I mean Kwout

Kwout? Kwhat? What a stupid name. They should provide a pronunciation key. I’m pronouncing it K-what. Maybe I’m supposed to pronounce it K-wa-out. Err…maybe it’s Q-U-O-T-E. Anyway it’s it’s a painful domain. Kind of like the word “Syrup”. I hate that word. Or Persai. That’s a totally lame word too. Uncov totally flames this service here:

It’s not bad. The User Experience is kind of crappy. I can’t seem to get that slider to work for me. Granted I have my mouse speed maxed out and my screen resolution is 1920×1200. Well, I think it’s a novel service. Dear Ted: Like I want to fire up Gimp to take a screen shot and create an image map.

In case you’ve missed the point of K-W-OUT, mouse over the image above. You’ll notice the screen shot provides working links by creating an image map that provides click-able links of the page’s hyperlinked text and images. I think it’s cool.

What’s the business model? Got me. I would dig it if Jing did this for me and posted it to Flickr though. Now that would be an interesting challenge and it might even be a useful tool and service.
