This Privacy Policy describes how the personal application exo-mail-personal (“the App”) handles data. The App is a private tool built and operated by Aaron Fulkerson for his own personal use. It is not a commercial product and is not offered to the public.
What the App does
The App connects to the operator’s own Google Account using Google’s official OAuth 2.0 authorization. With the operator’s explicit consent, it reads the operator’s Gmail messages and labels in order to create a local, private copy of that mailbox on the operator’s own computer. This local copy is used only for personal search, organization, and productivity.
What data is accessed
The App accesses only the Google account data of the operator who signs in, namely email messages and labels. It does not access anyone else’s account, and no other person can sign in to the App.
How data is stored and used
- Data is stored locally, on hardware the operator controls.
- Data is used solely for the operator’s own personal search and organization.
- The App does not sell data, does not serve advertising, and does not transfer data to any third party.
- The App does not use Google user data for training generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
Limited Use disclosure
The App’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Data retention and removal
The operator may revoke the App’s access at any time from the Google Account permissions page, and may delete the local copy of the data at any time.
